Ensuring a Safe Experience in Israel

Dear Teens & Parents,

News about rising tension between Israel and Iran has been widely publicized in the media recently. As you would expect, we are following the events in the Middle East closely, and we are in regular communication with the Israeli security services who provide us with on-the-ground intelligence before and during our program.

Based on the guidance we have received and our own understanding of current events, we can assure you that all of our programs are proceeding as scheduled.

BBYO has a proud history of organizing Israel programs for teens since 1956. During that period we have seen many changes in the region and have developed a great deal of experience as a result. Sadly, Israel has never been able to live in peace within its region. Nonetheless, Israel is a vibrant country, and generations of teens have safely traveled to Israel on a BBYO program and returned home with a deeply meaningful experience.

We are optimistic, but as always we will continue to monitor events closely. Of course, if there was a situation where we determine with the Israeli authorities that it is unsafe to travel in Israel, we would not hesitate to cancel the program and issue refunds. We will always act in good faith and make responsible decisions with security and safety being the guiding considerations.
